Please read the description carefully, to avoid disappointment.
For sale, i have a pair (x2) of WEBER 40 DCO3 Carburettors.
Original, Italian Made Sand-cast items.
Probably from Alfa Romeo 1956-62 Giulietta Sprint Veloce/Speciale/Zagato twincam engine.
They are missing their jet covers, and they have had their top covers and top cover stud holes modified.
These were originally designed to take studs, which were screwed in to the main casting, and the top cover was lowered through the studs and secured with standard hexagon nuts.
The previous owner, I assume didn’t like this arrangement and removed the studs and installed allen-type screws instead. And in the process drilled a lot of aluminium out of the top cover screw holes.
So, unfortunately, these carburettors are only going to be useful for their parts or for a serious repair which would probably involve filling the holes with aluminium welding (TIG welding perhaps) and then re-machining to the WEBER factory original specification.
Replacement jet covers will have to be sourced, and i do not have these. The Carburettors are offered as shown in the photos.
Some of the throttle lever & linkage assembly is missing also. See photos.
The brass spindles are good, and their threads are miraculously intact.
Auxiliary venturis are all present.
All jets and floats are present and intact.
These are rare, original weber 40 DCO3 Carburettors.
Carburettors are here with me in England, UK. But I will ship these Worldwide with UPS tracked & Insured shipping.
