Use alternative Idle Mixture Screw 11068 engine compartment is restricted with no overhead clearance available for screwdriver to fit.

This situation is mostly found on VW beetle / VW campers with air-cooled engines that are fitted with Dellorto DRLA carburettors.

If mixture screw 9656 or 11068 is not the correct mixture screw for your Dellorto carburettors, read below.

The other Dellorto idle mixture screws are:

• 8381 – Suitable for DHLA40E
• 9335 – Suitable for DHLA40G
• 8025 – Suitable for DHLA40 and some DHLA45 external screw for early carburettors.

For the Dellorto DRLA range of carburettors there are 2 types of idle mixture screw.

• 9656 – For all standard Dellorto DRLA 36, DRLA 40, DRLA 45 & DRLA 48 carburettors.
• 11068 – External hexagon head mixture screw, ideal for use on air-cooled VWs where access from overhead is restricted.
